FAO SCHWARTS introduced EXINWEST as " EXIN OLD FAR WEST" 1975 and sold EXIN thru the early 1980's

FNR INTERNATIONAL became the sole EXIN importer in the USA in 1978 and continued to offer EXINWEST thru 1984

FNR INTERNATIONAL became FINK & CO and purchased the EXINWEST & EXIN CASTLE Tooling from Exin Bros of Spain. Exin of Spain insisted that the EXIN CASTLES & WEST be sold to the same buyers as it was the founders favorite toys. Other exin lines went to other companies. In the mid 1990's after EXIN of Spain's closing, FINK & CO brought the Exin castle and EXINWEST tooling to the United States and began to reissue the EXIN CASTLES........they had plans to reissue EXINWEST as late as 2000, but with the events of 9-11, 2001 the US Economy began to slow and toy sales dropped quickly--FINK & CO suffered as a company and --like EXIN SPAIN closed its doors. The Exin Tooling , concepts, packaging and printing films and original artwork remains here in the United States in storage. Sadly the USA is in another very bad economy and I suspect it will be sometime before we see EXINWEST & EXIN CASTLES in production again. But let us hope!!!!

Los moldes Exin, diseños, empaquetados y material impreso así como los dibujos originales permanecen aquí almacenados en los Estados Unidos. Tristemente, los Estados Unidos están en otra muy mala situación económica, y sospecho que pasará algún tiempo antes de que veamos EXINWEST y EXIN CASTLES en producción de nuevo. Pero no perdamos la esperanza!!!!
